These mittens are made from shrunken sweaters bought at thrift shops. The artist, Laurine, has an etsy shop Green at Heart. She has been sewing for 20 years and is currently a stay at home mom. She is doing some very cool work with wool. After buying the old sweaters she washes them in very hot water to shrink, then sews them together to make different product. In the end you have a product looks great and you don't have to worry about shrinking.
I think we should all support her. The mittens are a bargain, just $12.
